Next Meeting, Thursday, June 7
9:30 - 10:30 am
The Milford Senior Center holds a monthly support group meeting and welcomes those who are experiencing vision loss or blindness. We can discuss any concerns or difficulties you are having with everyday life. We encourage everyone to share their concerns and solutions they may have in coping with vision loss. All discussions are kept within the group. On occasion, we have speakers attend our meetings with information and new technology for visually impaired individuals.
If you would like to attend, please come to the Senior Center the first Thursday of the month.
You may contact Marie O’Leary at 508-473-8334, Monday through Thursday between 9 am and 1 pm if you have further questions.
Our Center is located in Milford, Massachusetts and offers a variety of services, programs and events. Open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm and Sundays 1:00 to 3:30 pm

The Red Hat Society Wants You!
This circle of friends is comprised of women 60 and older. The suggested attire is a red hat and a purple outfit. It is, however, required to have as much fun as possible! Town of Milford - Ruth Anne Bleakney Senior Center
Still Me by Jo Jo Moyes
The May selection of the Center Book Group was universally liked by members. The easy-to-read novel continued the adventures of Louisa "Lou" Clark, a beloved character first introduced in Me Before You and further developed in After You. In this installment Lou travels to NYC to work as a personal assistant for a wealthy family. She leaves her new boyfriend behind to fulfill her tragic love Will's entreaty to "Live boldly Clark". Besides the long distance relationship challenges, Lou struggles learning the difference between being a friend and being staff, who are expected to see everything, but remember nothing. In this emotionally satisfying journey, Lou draws on deep inner strength to stand up for herself against her employer, befriend an elderly neighbor and her dog, build a vintage clothing business, and stay true to herself. A few readers did find the ending predictable, a small quibble for a mostly delightful book.
